As Hunting Guides and Outfitters we are sure you have experienced THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY in client behavior each season.  Unfortunately the number of The Bad and The Ugly Clients are rising each year.  It is becoming common practice for rogue and unethical clients that leave hunting camps without an animal to want to take a pound of the Outfitter’s Flesh with them.  This is done by posting one sided trash talk with the intent to hurt the Guide/Outfitters reputation in forums such as the “Hunting Report”, SCI Publications and Committees and various online hunting forums. 

It is becoming common for potential problem clients to show up in camp their very first day and say, “I am a member of the Hunt Report”, if you get me a good trophy animal I will write you a good report.  But as we know what they are really saying is that you better get them a trophy animal or they will trash your business reputation for thousands to read on the Hunting Report and Worldwide Internet Forums. 

Just one bad apple of a hunting client that posts negative reviews on a National or Worldwide level could literally cost a Guide/Outfitter tens of thousands of dollars worth of lost bookings as a result of one sided, unsubstantiated negative comments.  How many times have you said to yourself during a guided hunt, “this guy has definitely caused problems in other Guides Camps”. 

For the reasons above is why the Guide Report on Hunters was founded.  It is about time there is a Forum for a Guide/Outfitter to warn and be warned of rogue hunting clients that you could potentially come into contact with.  It is truly a small hunting world when the majority of the market for Guide/Outfitters comes from hunting clubs such as the Safari Club International.

It is the mission statement of the Guide Report on Hunters to encourage all Guide/Outfitters to become a member of this much needed forum to help protect each other from “The Bad and The Ugly” Clients.  The Guide Report on Hunters encourages its members to submit a list of problem clients to this private membership only forum that can go back several years to the beginning of your Company or Business.  We are confident that every Guide/Outfitter has a list of troublemakers that have hunted with them in the past that they would like to expose.

It is the absolute goal of the Guide Report on Hunters to expose all of The Bad and The Ugly so that eventually it will be impossible for them to book a guided hunt at a sportsmen show or any other place due to their past history of causing problems for other guide outfitters.  As the word is getting out the hunting community will diligently take note.  As a result of this new and exciting forum we predict that their will be a fraction of frivolous complaints and lawsuits filed each year against Guides and Outfitters. 

The Hunting Community will quickly figure out that if you are a hunting client and go into an Outfitters Camp and cause problems you will more than likely get your name and conduct posted on the Guide Report on Hunters.  The ramifications of this will mean the Hunting Client will have a hard time finding a guided hunt in the future.
